The magic of translating dark fiction

Hi. I’m Bernhard.

I read every minute I can. I write mainly horror and weird fiction (short stories and screenplays) and work as editor-in-chief for VISIONARIUM, an Austrian speculative fiction magazine. I love to tell stories and admire the craftsmanship of good writing. And I love to find the adequate connotations within the translating process of your story to transport its atmosphere accordingly to a new audience.

From the mind of the writer to the hearts of the readers in other countries … I can’t help but to see this as some kind of magic. After all, it’s just letters. And we’re able to (cast a) spell (with) them.
